Lead Buyer (all genders)

To further strengthen our team at our Vienna office, we are looking for a committed individual to fill the role of Lead Buyer (all genders). In this role, you will report to the Global Strategic Lead Buyer.

Your Mission

• Contribute to the development of procurement and purchasing strategies for defined sourcing categories and groups
• Conduct market and price analyses, including price forecasts, as a basis for negotiation and contract decisions.
• Lead price negotiations and negotiate framework agreements
• Consolidate demand across locations to leverage economies of scale.
• Close coordination with local purchasing organizations at production sites, as well as with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Developing and implementing concrete measures to improve costs, supply reliability, and contract quality on a global scale
• Strategic supplier management: identifying, selecting, and developing new and existing suppliers; establishing alternative sources of supply; and strategically reducing dependencies.

Your Profile

• A university degree; preferably in business administration, economics, supply chain management, (industrial) engineering, or a related field, with an interest in technology.
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement at a manufacturing company operating internationally, preferably with direct responsibility for a product group.
• Knowledge of contractual fundamentals: framework agreements, pricing formulas and price escalation clauses, Incoterms, and payment terms.
• Knowledge of procurement markets and market mechanisms in the industrial sector, including raw material and index-based pricing.
• Excellent analytical skills; confidence in performing calculations and applying pricing formulas, as well as proficiency in Excel.
• Initial negotiation experience involving significant volumes and the ability to assert oneself.
• Very strong presentation and communication skills in both German and English.
• Intercultural competence; experience collaborating with Asian and South American locations is a plus.

It is important to us to offer a fair and attractive remuneration package. We offer a gross annual salary in line with market rates, from €70,000 all-in, on a full-time basis, under the FEEI collective agreement, classification: Job Group G. The actual salary will depend on your experience and qualifications.
